At Fort Myers Digital, we love to bring your vision to life; like this custom print project for the City of Cape Coral. Our team of graphics installers transformed 15 utility boxes downtown with custom artwork from local artists.
The process starts with an idea to transform mundane utility boxes into something beautiful. The solution? showcasing local artists’ creativity with custom vinyl wraps.
Using our wide-format printers, we printed the artwork onto air-release vinyl. This type of vinyl is engineered specifically for adhering and confirming to various curves and corners. The air-release channels in the adhesive allow any air pockets or bubbles to be pushed out before fully adhering the vinyl. To give the vinyl more protection from the harsh weather conditions like rain and the hot Florida Sun, we used Avery overlaminate. This lamination provides an extra layer of protection from debris and has UV protection so the ink in the vinyl lasts longer against the Sun.
With the material printed and ready to go, our team of professional installers set out to Cape Coral to transform the boxes. Outdoor installations provide new challenges, such as working in the wind and heat.
